Małgorzata Sobocka

Małgorzata is a portrait photographer and scientist based in New York. A native of Poland, she has lived in New York for many years, and received her PhD degree from the State University of New York.

When Małgorzata was a child, she received her first camera and loved taking pictures of her siblings and family members.Since then, she immersed herself in telling the visual stories of people with different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. She has a deep understanding and experience of photographing neurodiverse people, especially children. In addition to studio- type portraits, she loves taking pictures of people in their natural environment, capturing their emotions, dreams and challenges.

She is constantly searching for new perspectives on capturing the mesmerizing beauty of humanity. When she is not occupied with her projects and family life, she loves walking the city streets with a camera in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other. In this way, Małgorzata documents the variety and individuality of people busy with their everyday life, while using her camera to capture humorous images of New York street life.
