Małgorzata Tambor

“Photography is my vision of the world around me, my quest for beauty in the simplest, even clichéd things, and the capture of fleeting and unique moments.” – Małgorzata Tambor

Małgorzata Tambor was born in Poland and has been living in New York since 1997. She has been involved in photography for a few years and photojournalism is the closest to her heart.

Her photos have been published in Polish community press such as Nowy Dziennik, Super Express, Kurier Plus, Magazine Art, and in several books including “ 100 lat Archiwum Panstwowego w Gdansku” (One Hundred Years of the National Archives in Gdansk), 2001, and “Polski Instytut Naukowy w Ameryce: Przewodnik po zbiorach archiwalnych” (Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences: A Guide to Its Archival Collections), 2004.

She has participated in many group and individual exhibitions in the United States and Poland. In 2004, Małgorzata won the first prize in a photography category at the 31 st Adam Styka Memorial Art Exhibition in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. She has been a member of the Polish-American Photographic Club since 2000, a member of the Positive Focus, Inc. since 2003, and a member of the Shtooka Gallery since 2006. She is also a volunteer photographer for the New York Dance and Arts Innovations, Inc. Her other hobbies include collecting cheese labels, hiking and traveling.

She is a member of the Polish American Photographic Club since 2000 and 32 BJART since 2016. In addition to photography, she paints acrylic, doing recycling art, designs craft greeting cards.
