David Burdzy was born and raised in Jersey City. Both of his parents are Polish immigrants. While growing up, he was surrounded by the arts whether it was with his father, Wieslaw Burdzy, an avid photographer, taking David with him to his photo sessions or sharing movie nights with his parents. With an observant eye, David has learned to appreciate the framing of subjects through the lens. David graduated in 2016 from Montclair State University with a B.F.A. in Filmmaking where he further honed his skills on frame composition. 

 

When he has free time, David enjoys taking walks in nature or to go hiking, something he has grown fond of doing with his father quite often. He has appreciated nature for as long as he remembers, finding the sharp mountain lines and trees of all shapes and sizes to be fascinating moments in time that cannot be found elsewhere. With this photo series, David hopes the viewer will find themselves contemplating how much this Earth truly has to offer and should fight to preserve.”
